Approximately 80% of British citizens will suffer from back pain over the course of their lifetime. Back pain can then inhibit muscle activation and cause us to modify our movement patterns and posture to avoid painful positions. This causes the important stabilising muscles to begin to weaken and atrophy, which can lead to back spasms and pain.
It is this weakness that leaves us more susceptible to suffering recurring episodes of back pain and eventually chronic pain in what is known as the “cycle of deconditioning”.

Our approach effectively breaks the cycle of deconditioning using the clinical reasoning and years of skills to targeted, deep spinal muscles in a safe, efficient and productive way.
How Does it Work?
During the initial 1 h assessment your Exercise Expert will conduct a thorough evaluation of your condition and where appropriate conduct basic back strength exercises. Our carefully selected exercises provides an objective measure of your lower back muscles.
Each subsequent appointment will involve a reassessment of your progress, subject to your progress and a strength training session. 4 to 8 other core strengthening exercises will be performed as we seek to improve your overall core strength and stability.
